Why now

MCP was released by Anthropic in late 2024. In the months since, it's become the default protocol for agent-to-tool communication — adopted by Claude, integrated into developer tooling across the industry, and increasingly embedded into production systems at real companies.

The protocol is moving fast. The observability layer hasn't caught up.
